Warranty & Replacement

12-Month Warranty Policy

All pre-owned items purchased from RefTool come with a 1-year (12 months) warranty from the date of purchase.

Warranty Terms

  • The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that affect the functionality or integrity of the tools and equipment.
  • Warranty coverage begins on the date of delivery as confirmed by our shipping partners.
  • Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
  • Normal wear and tear, damage caused by improper handling, or modifications to the item are not covered under warranty.

Replacement Process

If you are entitled to a replacement product, RefTool will provide a product that is identical or of similar value. If a replacement is not available, we may issue a refund or repair the product within a reasonable time. Refund and repair rights apply to the replacement product in the same way as the original item.

Defects in Materials and Workmanship

The warranty covers “defects in materials and workmanship that affect the functionality or integrity of the item,” including:

  • Manufacturing flaws that compromise structural integrity
  • Broken or damaged components present at the time of delivery
  • Incomplete or missing original parts
  • Color fading or discoloration beyond normal aging
  • Deterioration of materials faster than reasonably expected
  • Packaging damage that affects the item’s value
  • Authentication or certification errors

Not Covered:

  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
  • Damage caused by improper storage or display conditions
  • Environmental damage (e.g., sunlight exposure, humidity)
  • Damage from accidents, drops, or impacts after delivery
  • Modifications or alterations made by the customer
  • Cosmetic imperfections that don’t affect functionality
  • Age-appropriate patina or expected material aging

Standard Coverage

All tools and equipment purchased from RefTool come with our standard 12-month warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship as described above.

Product-Specific Warranties

  • Manufacturer Warranties: Select premium tools may include the original manufacturer’s warranty in addition to our standard coverage. When applicable, these details will appear in the product description.
  • Extended Protection Plans: For certain high-value tools, optional extended protection plans may be available for purchase during checkout.

Replacement Process Timeline

  • If a product is determined to be defective under warranty, we will first attempt to replace your item with an identical product within 14 business days of warranty claim approval.
  • If an identical replacement is unavailable, we will offer one of the following within 3 business days:
    • A similar product of equal or greater value (with your approval)
    • A full refund to your original payment method
    • Repair service when applicable (with an estimated completion date provided)
  • For repairs, we commit to completing the process within 30 calendar days. If repairs cannot be completed within this timeframe, we will offer a replacement or a full refund.
